This Office handles near 1.4 million units of import/export containers each year, approximately 4,000 units each day. Owing to limited space in the Keelung Port area, most containers are inspected in inland container terminals upon arrival/departure. Besides, containers transiting to Taichung and Kaohsiung are also monitored by this Office. Hence, container movement supervision has become a main workload. We have adopted the following measures to enhance control：building Container Movement Tracing System, intensifying Customs Information System (CIS), and implementing Autonomous Management for compliant warehouses and container terminals.
