Kaohsiung Customs Invites Stakeholders to Participate in Advance Cargo Information Pilot System

With the tremendous effort Taiwan Customs has put into the development of the Customs-Port-Trade (CPT) Single Window System Project and the Advance Cargo Information System Project under the Ubiquitous Economy and Trade Network Plan, the first phase of the Single Window project and the export clearance system of the Advance Cargo Information project will formally be launched on August 19, 2013.

In order to implement these two systems, Kaohsiung Customs has come up with a promotion plan and set up a promotion team. In addition to conducting two relevant meetings in March and May respectively to discuss the possible problems the Customs may face in the future, Kaohsiung Customs has also established an online training program to help its officers get familiar with the new systems.

As the Customs Administration is in the process of undertaking a pilot test, Kaohsiung Customs urged all of its stakeholders to actively take part in this testing initiative so as to ensure the successful implementation of these two systems as scheduled.
